BASALT VISTA AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley approached Connect One Design to create a minimalist landscape for approximately 27 units that will be adjacent to Basalt High School. These units will help meet the needs of affordable housing in the Town of Basalt. With a limited construction budget and a very tight water budget, C1D designed a prototype landscape that can be implemented at each duplex or triplex. Lawn space is limited to the area residents will enjoy just adjacent to their outdoor patio. Additional landscape is designed to be closer to the native palette of the area. Limited water resources require a sensible and efficient irrigation plan with substantial reduction in water usage after establishment.
