MCR

Client: Private
Location: Rio Blanco County, Colorado
Project Status: Ponds Completed in 2017

Covering 2,000 acres in northern Colorado, the Miller Creek Ranch contains two spring filled ponds, both situated around two homes. Connect One Design completed master planning for the valley floor portion of the property, expanding the ponds to hold more capacity as a part of the Colorado ‘use it or lose it’ water policy. To help increase interaction with the water, Connect One Design used expanded outdoor terraces, docks, redirected driveways and front doors to the houses, retaining walls, waterfalls, diverted streams, vehicle and pedestrian bridges, and large-scale grading to tie homes to their natural water features. Connect one Design also worked with the Army Core of Engineers and the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department to carefully repair and stabilize eroding banks of an existing meandering river.
