Having focused on the interior of the house for several years, the Client’s of this prairie style home located five minutes from the Aspen Core decided the time had come to focus on the rest of their property.

Connect One Design were tasked with creating a phaseable master plan for the property that would include better defined and inviting living areas and more refined outdoor spaces.

The landscape concept pulled from the prairie style workmanship and details of the house to make a cohesive design out of the disparate spaces around the house. This included everything from the shadow pattern cast by a new pergola to the proposed garage doors and paving bands in the driveway. An outdoor fire place along with a pergola and retractable shade was designed to provide privacy from surrounding homes with second stories. These features along with an outdoor LCD television and an outdoor kitchen were designed not only to bring the indoors outside but also to make this space very warm and inviting for any time of the year.

At the rear of the house, the play lawn space is envisioned to be replaced with a lap pool and hot tub with lounging and entertaining areas at either end. The play lawn space was shifted to the front lawn as a part of the overall entry definition and experience into the property
