Located on the bank of the Roaring Fork River and the popular Rio Grande Trail, the Pitkin Way residence designed by CCY Architects posed certain design challenges – a triangular shaped lot, steep topography, and constrained outdoor spaces. Through a series of multi-leveled, interconnected rooms the designers met these challenges head on. At this property, Connect One Design created a welcoming autocourt entryway that leads to a water wall feature, and an open and manicured terrace that is juxtaposed with the natural riparian landscape. A custom spa with a monolithic granite negative edge is centered in the terrace. This property also includes vegetated roofs and a concealed custom bike storage area.
