SNOWMASS TOWN PARK MASTER PLAN

Town Park is one of the most important public spaces in Snowmass Village. Connect One Design, JVA Consulting Engineers, and Azure Drone Engineering are honored to have collaborated with the Town of Snowmass Village to evaluate the best, most efficient uses of the land in the park, update the existing park master plan, and create complete construction documents for the first phase of work. Connect One worked closely with the Town to devise an arrangement of space most beneficial to Snowmass residents and the summer rodeo, while maintaining a flexible, highly programmable venue for large scale special events. Existing seasonal land uses, the flexibility of current program elements, viewsheds, events usage, and technical requirements of the rodeo were among the many items analyzed to produce four master plan options. The Town identified the most favorable elements of the four options and put them together to create the final master plan which was completed in 2021.

The project team is now assisting the town with budgeting, phasing, and the creation of construction documents. New park features include a fishing and nature play pond, flex lawn space, improved rodeo layout and grandstands, improved parking and access, and a wetland interpretation and recreation area. Connect One Design is coordinating the work of many specialists for this project including rodeo designers, biologists, wetland specialists, and floodplain engineers.
